If you’re like me, you investigate hours and hours before deciding what type of laptop you want. There is no doubt a major purchase, and you want to make sure you have a good laptop for your money, so you have time to dive the Amazon page, go to the customer to consider participation.

So while I am studying for the postponement of exams next week, I write this review for the Asus UL-30A2. While I might be a little biased because I already own, I will do my best to give you some advantages and disadvantages to be honest.

When I bought my first laptop in July 2008 for the university, I thought the Sony Vaio I had was great, because they had much money editor of choice. As a young and naive, I thought a good buy. Although it was fun and flashy red cover, it does not meet my needs as a student. She was tall (15.4 inches), bulky (6 lbs) and even Blu-ray, which is why he won first prize, is one of the few laptops when playing Blu-ray . It was designed to provide a multimedia notebook, this is not what I needed as a student. So this Thanksgiving, I started to hear about the Asus UL30 which became critical praise and attention. I researched more and more I read about it, the more I liked.

Before studying, I was positive I wanted a Macbook. Apple claims that it is the most used computers on campus, and just by walking around you do not see them lie. But the price was just not my dream to buy a Mac. Not only is it the computer from a Mac-like keyboard, but you will not be a sharp drop to get! So I stuck with Microsoft, which has also been due to my purchase of a cemented Microsoft Zune HD (which I also highly recommended). But I digress, back to UL30 Asus.

In other words, the Asus UL30 was probably one of the best purchases I ever made. It is so thin and light, under “UL” does not do justice. Compared to that of a giant Vaio, Asus UL30 weighs less than a Mac, for crying out loud! Weight and portability was one of my main concerns because I want to draw this laptop with me on campus, ranging from class to class all day. This notebook weighs less than my arithmetic book! I can easily carry in my backpack, and when I go to class, just whip and go.

The material is simply divine. On the screen is so bright and lively, as we speak, I have the brightness set to slightly less than half, because I would if I completely blinded. Yes, the screen is very bright, but you could hardly notice when you use the laptop unless you’re sitting in the sun, making any screen hard to see anyway.

The speakers are unlike other phones. They are located under the laptop before. The type of cut the sound when you speak in your turn, but when on a hard surface, the sound reflects off the table and is reinforced. When I got the UL30 ASUS, I put on the table next to my brother (HP) and sister (another ASUS 15.4) laptop. I curse all the same song, three laptops and my Dell UL30 completely hit the other two stages in terms of volume and clarity. You listen carefully how the loud speakers on this laptop is just incredible. As I type this, I have my headphones and the volume set at 17% and the volume set to Pandora 25. The volume capacity of the UL30 ASUS is excellent, you will not be disappointed.

The part that I could (and large) can miss out on a scanner. There is no way to play DVDs or CDs on the UL30 ASUS, but it is a blessing! Because there is no optical drive, the laptop is lighter and consumes less battery power, because all it works is simply the hard drive. I do not really miss the optical drive, because these days, everything you need can be downloaded from the Internet. Since I got this computer, there is not one time I had to read a CD, but in vain. Let’s face it, the omnipresence of the Internet and stored on flash drives are the future. The last time I used the optical drive on my old laptop for months there is a video game that I rented the library to play. Not with a scanner should not be much.

Another part that I absolutely adore the UL30 ASUS is the trackpad. The cells are quite unique and the only mouse button, the laptop seems to be more simplistic, and I love the simplicity. I remember reading a review on the ASUS UL30 and someone said that when you have a little “fat finger on the trackpad is really good, I liked a little dirty, but now I know what the reviewer meant. When you first get the laptop, the trackpad is really dry, feeling his finger on a plastic surface dry, and that’s how it feels. But once you have some of these fingers “fat”, the trackpad works like a charm. And it’s so fun and unique, this laptop has other holes?

One thing I do not think the multitouch trackpad is something like the way you scroll using two fingers, and can use right click 3. The two-finger scrolling is not correct, right click and three fingers is a kind of a shot in the dark if it works or not. Often the time when two fingers to scroll accident, I thing that the arrow of the page when you move the arrow to the edge to get rolling. I must admit it’s kind of embarrassing, but hey, it’s great when it works! lol FML

By purchasing this laptop, I wondered whether to get the X5 and A2. I chose the A2, for the money, and I read that black attracts fingerprints like crazy and I thought that the better battery life. I was already a successful $ 700, so why not another $ 100 to spend and to ensure that I am completely satisfied with what I get?

Some people say that the laptop feels like it is made of cheap plastic. I can understand why they would say that, because if I press on the front to make a little clicking noise. But that is hardly noticeable and not really affect the laptop in general. ASUS UL30 is not too hot as my old Sony did, I could use it on my lap all day / night and I still would not notice the heat. So now I sort of regret buying a Lapdesk Logitech for $ 40 a few weeks before I ASUS UL30.

The battery is one of the strengths of the laptop. I’m sure you all heard was how much battery life is now, and while I do not get the 12 hours as advertised, I probably a good 8-9 hours after a single charge. And browsing the Internet, play music, watch videos, and much more multitasking students. The battery life only pays for itself over and over again. When I go to the library, I did not round for a table near a power run. Now I just smile when I see people walking around the library looking for an outlet to plug in their computers flight lasting only 2-3 hours on one charge, or other students who do their luminosity lowest level of savings while in the classroom. It’s like they are playing a Kindle Fricke crying out loud! All the while, my screen is bright as the sun, and unbound sockets of slavery.

Now I have to say something critical of the ASUS UL30 just to be honest in this review. If I had to choose something, the only thing I do not want this laptop is about as no Bluetooth capability, so I can not wireless transmission of photos I took my phone to my computer . But this is not that big of a deal, because there is a memory card slot, so I can micro SD card just insert a card reader mini-SD and Bam Bam Thank you, Madam, while working properly.

Although I rated a 4 out of 5 stars simply because I think 5 is a perfect laptop fantasy that exists only in our dreams. But this computer is fairly close to that!

The graphics are great, the sound and screen are great, the keyboard and trackpad chiclet real cute dimple, the UL30 ASUS is one of the best 13.3-inch notebooks on the market and I am very glad I have bought!
