Build and design

HP EliteBook 8740w is a “mobile workstation” for very specific requirements for performance, durability, power consumption and a host of other features. In any case based the EliteBook line meets or exceeds these standards, so before you try even to the lives of these almost eight-pound laptop you know it hard.

The main part of the laptop is in the “HP Duracase” and “HP Indura finish”, essentially a hard plastic and strong magnesium alloy inner shell similar to strengthened by an outer shell made of brushed aluminium, scratch-resistant, covered as its predecessor. HP used a darker color on the outside of mobile workstations and a lighter surface on EliteBook standard series. The outer shell of the screen housing is made of metal, but the inner screen aperture is plastic. The entire body from the base of the screen lid is extraordinary strong and resistant to flex. The keyboard is the only exception to this rule, because it has a tendency to “under the fingers bounce” If you give with heavy pressure.
