
The HP Pavilion dm4x is an updated version of the company’s existing dm4 notebook. The dm4x provides the second generation of Intel Core series processors, including the dual-core i5 and i7 variants. Graphics will go in the form of an AMD Radeon HD 6470 with 1 GB of GDDR4 memory a 14 “, 1366 x 768 glossy display resolution.” Up to 8 GB RAM and a 750 GB hard drive are as options. HP says that the dm4x up to eight hours can get battery life from the standard six cell battery; a 9-cell battery is optional.
The dm4x has a launch mass of 4.41 lbs and measures 0.98 “~ 1.27″ in height. It comes only with the key ports – three USB 2.0 ports, VGA and HDMI; an ExpressCard slot, eSATA and USB 3.0 are nowhere to be found.

The HP Pavilion dm4x is now $729.99; Shipping and free upgrades to 6 GB RAM and a 640 GB include free hard drive. Two colors are available: steel grey and dark umber. The latter is an additional $25.
