For this (very, very long!) Release, I will not copy and paste information from the site of Motorola tell you all the details on this phone. I will give my opinion on that, what I like and dislike about the phone and give an overview of what this phone is not in simple terms. If you want the full technical specifications of the phone, I suggest you visit the Motorola website (that’s what’s for her!), Or maybe look at other reviews that give an overview of this.

Motorola said – “The Motorola RAZR V3 is the ultimate, beautiful slim phone. Needed to upgrade my (cute but get a little boring E600) Samsung, I went hunting mobile phone review, I had my eyes fixed on the Motorola RAZR V3 (now called “RAZR”) for some time as one of my friends has a silver and it looks very elegant. O2 offered me a cheap price because I said I would be leaving for Vodafone (works every time!) and I am also upgrading to a Black Razr.

To receive the PHONE

I did some research on the characteristics of the phone and found that there seems to be a good little package. However, I have some concerns with the comments I read. I read a user who have problems with charging the battery, where the yield would be too much heat and in some cases, melt the media and whatever had been on the phone! Other people said the phone is slow, the menus are difficult to understand and other such matters. I went anyway, as I knew I had a period of 14 days where you can change your mind when I got on well with the phone to get. This is the case for most networks in the UK, but certainly with O2. So I decided to make my own opinion of this phone make.

The physical aspects of PHONE

Style, size and shape

The Razr is a very elegant and modern phone. It is wider than most phones, but much flatter. It would fit perfectly in a pocket, and fits into the pocket of my jeans very well. There is a warning to it in your pocket? A friend of mine had in his pocket and accidentally bumped into a table, then hit the phone and cracked the screen. Not good. If I ever had in my pocket I get the external display is directed inward.

The screens

The phone has two screens, one internal and external. When the phone is closed, the external screen is active. This screen shows the signal level of the phone is received, the battery life left and time. It also reflects the contents of the internal display is a good feature. The light on the screen takes a short time and then turns off, leaving a black screen with the time runs out.
When the phone is open, the external screen displays the background of the operator (in my case, the O2 blue background with bubbles). The internal screen is now active and shows, signal strength, battery life, operator name, date, time and method of tone.
The screens are of good quality, with the interior of a liquid crystal display. I find that the screens Mucky can get fairly quickly, especially if your hands are muddy. Lets face, hands, everyone makes itself all the time!

The FLIP APPEARANCE

The flip phones are built, where the entire front folds down across the back. The Razr is different in this respect, where there is a thumb on the bottom of the phone that does not return the rest of the front. This gives a unique shape, and is also useful when the phone is bashing in your bag, you do not get things like keys, trapped between two layers of the phone. What happened to my Samsung.
However, the phone is not easy to go back with one hand, as many flip phones. This is probably because the screen is flat, or because the party flip is almost flush with the body of the phone.

Microphone and speakers

The block of the phone that will not return to the place is also the microphone that is clearly visible. This is useful, but as with many phones you have no idea where your voice is picked up from. The speaker ring is on the other side of the block down and the speaker sits atop the phone when it is open … course. The quality of the microphone is better than my old model, people say they hear me better. The ringing and hearing are very good speakers you can hear callers very clear and there is a maximum volume of the speaker of the ring, make sure you miss an important call!

ButtonsĀ  SMART
Both sides of the valve part of the phone buttons, which can be used when it is open or closed. There is a button to change the volume of hearing, and one for voice calls (if you have a voice name to a directory entry, which means you can call someone by pressing the voice and say name) I personally find not very useful for. It is also the “Smart Key”, which is adaptable to some of the menus to open by pressing the button. It is automatically set to the opening of the camera, but can be changed.

Keyboard

The keyboard is one of the most unique features on this phone. Motorola call it a “nickel-plated copper alloy chemically etched keypad. Ooh lovely! Personally I find the buttons easy to press, and not too small (I have no figures in the world, we must say). The keyboard is very bright (* laughs * and pretty as a girl) and has a beautiful bright blue backlight. The keyboard is a bit too muddy. Imagine Mucky stainless steel cookware can get, and you have the idea. This muckiness transfers also the on-screen keyboard because they are flat against each other when the phone is closed. Not ideal. (Buy screen wipes! or constantly in their hands, without stain!)

The keyboard contains the overall red / green buttons that phone call / hang up and do other common functions such as exit menus. It also has keys, explanation. Menu navigation is via a number of keys on the keyboard. There is a round button with the 4-way navigation. In the center of this button is a button selection. There are buttons on the left and right (like Nokia and Samsung to call them) after the functions are displayed on the lower left and right of the screen (respectively). Between these two buttons on the menu button. This … Strange … displays a menu! The two keys that are most unique key to the browser and the core message. Avid texters, the main message is very useful because it takes you to the menu of messages at once. The key opens the WAP (GPRS or whatever you want to call)

Run

In the first place for everyone to get a new phone, I strongly recommend a full charge the battery before you even start. This is the best way to maximize battery life you can get. With the Razr, there were some comments sounding disappointed by the battery life. When I loaded the phone, the battery seems to fall quite quickly. Probably because I was with her just about mucking, as you do when you get a new phone! The battery life is very good for me, because I have reloaded several times. I also like the fact that when you connect via the USB cable to the exchange of information, the actual capacity of the battery from the computer power. This will be useful when visiting relatives abroad!

CAMERA

The camera is well integrated into the front of the phone, through the valve section (the points away from the phone when open). Images can normally be taken using the internal screen as viewfinder, or can be used to take portraits, by using the external screen as a viewfinder (saves turning the phone and try to aim in the right direction!)
The image quality of the camera on this phone is pretty average. I’ve seen some phones take better pictures, but at the end of the day, if you want picture quality …. Buying a digital camera. The Razr has no flash for the camera so night photos are not ideal. Moreover, the camera has no video recording (unless you hack the Internet, that dares not me!)

Features of the phone

Messages

I will not tell you about this property because it’s almost like any other phone. SMS – Predictive text can be used and the method of the old ABC, Easy to take (especially if you ever owned a Motorola). MMS – in your inbox, even text that can be regarded as a blessing (no “Where’s my picture messages?”) Or curse (“What products have pictures on them?) One thing I did not like about the SMS is that when you have two posts (too many characters to be sent as a) not tell you that the two messages you are actually sending the message. Not good when you look at the number of texts that you send !

One positive about the news on this phone is that all SMS messages are stored in the Outbox. Again, this is useful when you try to see how many texts you send. You can use the Outbox when you want daily, weekly, monthly? See for yourself!

Contacts

This feature is well developed, with each contact in a list with the contact name, number, type (mobile / home / work) and assigned image. Contracts picture phonebook is a good idea taken up by other phones, like the Razr, so when someone calls you, you get their faces on the screen!

Data on the phone

Themes - similar skins the color and appearance of the menus to change. The Razr welcomes three skins, motorcycle (standard blue), red (red metallic), silver (metal) Photos – 4 photos in random (very arty), 3 positions (for each theme) 4 screen (for each theme – two in cash or otherwise), O2 wallpaper / screen (unless you get this phone to another network ) and a separate screen.

Sounds – There is a range of sounds, most of good quality. Some “short” sounds for incoming SMS and some good ringtones.

Video – “Hello Moto” video. If a short ad for Motorola, really just a video showing what the settings for the phone works. In my opinion, the quality is not bad.

Data Transfer

The transfer of data to and from the Razr is very simple. The phone comes with an installation disc for the software needed for the phone to the PC. It is very easy to install even for beginners. The phone comes with a USB cable, which is the best way to get the phone to the PC. You can use Bluetooth if you want, but it would buy a Bluetooth converter for your PC involvement.

Files. Jpg can be transferred to the phone and use as wallpapers and example. . Poison can be used as screensavers, and. MP3 files can be used as ringtones. I found that there is not much space on the phone. A good trick is to download an MP3 Cutter of the Internet, which means you can participate in selecting a song to use as ringtones. This means that the center of a number to use rather than just the intro as ringtone. After songs together on the phone much space, and to be honest you never hear the whole song anyway unless someone rings you for a very long period without hanging up (or answering the call will!)

MotoMix & iMelody

Now I wonder what Motorola is thinking (or what they were on illegal substances!), When she “MotoMix. As far as I can say is simply a tool that one of the three motorcycle ringtones (which are not that big to begin ) as based on his track, and you can customize by removing a number of beats, add them in the middle of a song and raise or lower the rate to make a ringtone completely arbitrary. Very strange.
iMelody composers as old-style Nokia phone ringtone, using letters and numbers that correspond to musical notes. It takes a little research to find real sounds to calm down. Or just grab a pot and see what you find.

Bluetooth

Razr my phone comes with a free Bluetooth headset (via a contract O2 and many other networks have the same idea) was apparently something of value such as 50 pounds. The headset is small and very elegant and very comfortable. The Razr package comes with an adapter between the phone charger into two in order on the phone and headset while charging. Bluetooth is very easy to set up the Razr, but apparently can deplete the battery faster than usual.

Games

I have not really had much time to watch the game thoroughly. I’m still not buying phones for their games. The games are Java applications, allowing the opportunity to use battery pretty fast.

Billiards – Select one of the three races of Nine Ball, Snooker Pyramid Fast. Not so easy to handle, but it’s fun anyway.
Golf – Explicit real, but this version has a long way to go, where you more rewards to help you. It sets new targets for some players to beat, and you can earn money (money is not real!) To buy new clubs, etc. Well – if you like golf.
Skipping Stones – AKA Solitaire (not the card game) you a map of stone (usually marble in the real world), where a stone moves involve “jumping” to another to get rid of him. The goal is to get rid of as many bricks as you can. Strategic relatively boring.

Applications

*** 3D map – As I am not really sure about this part of the phone, I can not really say much about it. In short, this is an application you assign numbers to each side of a cube. Hmmm, I’m not really sure what you want, especially because it takes so long to load.
*** Slideshow – I suppose one of these applications you can use if you want someone to a load of photos without going through all the menus.

Genres RING

The styles of rings: Soft, Vibrate, Vibrate & Ring, Vibe then Ring and Silent. These are fully customizable (out of silence, they mean when they say quiet volume!) For ringtones, SMS, etc.

MenusĀ  customizable

This is a great feature of the Razr. On the screen are four icons (which can be hidden if you do not want to see), each corresponding to an arrow on the round navigation button. These can be adapted to whatever you want, which means easy access to frequently used menus by the touch of a button. It is the same for both commands corresponding to the left and right keys. The default directory to the left and right like a browser. Personally, I change my right softkey styles, as I’m constantly changing from quiet to loud.

OTHER FEATURES Self-explanatory

Calculator, Calendar (organizer), voice recording (memo?), Alarm, WebAccess.

CONCLUSION

As for my initial fears when reading reviews for the purchase of the phone: The back is not melted or anything but I’m too hot. Everything is intact! The speed of the menus and text is not as fast as my old Samsung, but you just get used to it really. The phone looks like it could be very fragile, but I found it very robust. It seems relatively easy to zero. I never leave the bashing around the bottom of my bag. Most bags I support for mobile devices, including the Razr cover fits perfectly.

Overview of the phone? I love it. I have people go “Wow, that’s a nice phone!” and say how much he looks like something from StarTrek. (“Beam me up Scotty”). He is big on style level, but not in the top ranks when it comes to features. I think Motorola should stop thinking about the physical style of the phone and start making their business functions with Samsung and Nokia.
