Reviews Motorola W376 Prepaid Phone with Double Minutes for Life (Tracfone): Good for the price if you know what to expect
The W376 is an excellent low-cost phone for those who literally live on mobile phones (yes, these people still exist), but want a reliable machine that makes it very basically what should be a phone – call.

Let’s not compare this phone with a major contract phones airlines – you can not. This phone and most of all other Tracfone, Net10, Straight Talk (etc.) are built to a price and sold at low prices. In this case, $ 20.00. You can not compare their build quality and features of phones that cost $ 150 to $ 300 from the airlines. But they are surprisingly good for the cheap prices they sold for. I remember the controversy of radiation can have all these things to shoot. There is much debate about how dangerous this can be over-used, and let’s face it, the W376 and they are all like the cheap plastic – most likely controls the conveyor enough to fry an egg rather time. If you are going to use the cells for hours – get something with better protection “just in case.” That said, for what I use for this purpose (very light), I do not think a concern.
Call quality and ear are very good. I live 25 miles outside Atlanta Interstate not near a road, and I get 3-5 bars at all points in my house. The sound is clear. Battery life is good. There is a lag between pressing the buttons and hear the confirmation beep and see the numbers / text on the screen already, so it takes some getting used to (again The cheap phone). The camera – let’s be honest, it stinks. A resolution of 640 x 480 pixel low resolution is the maximum size, and even in “fine” quality photos are terrible, like a watercolor painting over an image (think of mobile phones from 8 years for reference). So if the camera is important – to go elsewhere.
Key words here – “the price”, the W376 is a great phone. If I want a smart phone or a touch screen phone the airlines I give two stars but we are again talking about a cheap phone call rates cheap, so for that price, it is appreciated by me. Get double minutes for life, use coupon code included in the package, and for lighter users, it would be a perfect solution for cell service offering itself, while the names of financial finger on major airlines intensive care costs too.
Now all that being said, I must add that the customer Tracfone/Net10 is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. You’ll be 100% of your conversations with the representatives of India. Representatives who speak little English, and those who do, do it wrong and with a strong accent. Many are under-educated and read scripts and give you information variability. If you move or “port” a phone number from an old phone to them or to another phone using a different service, expect a long conversation with a series of codes and numbers should be given to The representative that can be a very long wait to be transferred, if it works at all (another call, asked to try to determine, etc. etc. etc.). One thing that almost worth the high price of contract carriers (AT & T, Verizon and T-Mobile) is the client for them as much as we complain, is actually better than Tracfone WORLD / Net10. So in summary, these features are suited to certain applications such as very basic and sometimes very reliable aircraft. But if the customer service is as important to you that the price of telephone service, this service should be avoided.
