They still exist, the old marks, and even the old series back to life. For example, Agfa is a historically important series up again, the OPTIMA – and remember let us very briefly: The Optima was one of the first miniature camera with a fully automatic aperture and time setting, Anno 1959, so 50 years ago.

For the time the camera was a sensation – because you could now simply to keep out the motive and the shutter durchdrücken – that was not previously possible. Admittedly, we still had to adjust the distance – and that was exactly the drawback: In a 1:2,8 / 45 mm lens with automatic transmission, the pictures do not quite sharp, if you only three symbols for setting the distance was.

Anyway – today, it is quite normal, draufzuhalten, without regard to exposure and distance to care – and the technology works is far more sophisticated than it was then.

What’s new today, so at Agfa? Now there are again three new versions of the Optima, including one for the wide range (1438m OPTIMA) (small focal length from 32 mm) with four times zoom and 3-inch display is offered a second (OPTIMA T133mT) with touchscreen and Dreifachzoom and a model OPTIMA 8328m, in which aperture and time can also be manually adjusted.

The first choice should nevertheless have the wide-angle camera, with the competition, however, is considerable. This knowing Agfa builds in its press release also heavily on the historical significance of the OPTIMA on.
