From March 2009, I think that Palm Centro is one of the best smartphones available. The style is simple, unadorned and functional aka Google style, but not elegant, fun and glamorous than the iPhone and Mac. After using three Windows Mobile phones, iPhone, Balck Berry Storm Palm Treo 755p and Nokia E51, I think the Centro is closest to the ideal smartphone, Sprint’s network, but no water retention system reliability Verizon Wirelss.

1. Clear sound. Solid, reliable phone.
2. reasonable size and weight (119 grams) and pocket-sized and you have your phone with you all the time. But there is room for improvement, it can be lighter and thinner. ideal weight for a phone is less than 100 grams.
3. contacts of high quality, timing and management memos.
4. Brisk, peppy response and rarely locks up or freezes.
5. A-one of the features of Microsoft Office document with the documents-to-Go.
6. Good QWERTY keyboard.
7. Rather decent application availability.
8. Functions and a modem connected to the cable and the speed range 800-900 Kbs Verizon Wireless network.
10.Synchronizes calendar, contacts and memos with the MacBook.
11.Good based SMS: chat messages.
But Centro is not without flaws: the default is the OK button and dials voicemail involuntarily. I have not been able to sync via Bluetooth or using a Bluetooth modem. Web browser for mobile sites is fast, but otherwise barely functional – the Internet is available, but browsing is fun as the iPhone. Instead of micro-mini USB cable or USB hard drive that uses the patented take. The camera is an absolute minimum of 1.3 megapixels and the function of music is based on 2.5 mm audio jack. Font size is low and must be adjusted individually for each application.
Here is my form on smartphones.
1. iPhone is the best MP3 player, video and multimedia, the best user experience and mobile browser, but it is like a bottomless phone from Verizon Center. AT & T has a weak signal and network coverage, the talks focused all the time and the sound of the iPhone is, on average.
2. BlackBerry Storm has a nice screen and an excellent device e-mail, but very buggy software and freezes constantly. Blackberries shine when it comes to e-mail.
3. Windows Mobile phones are terrible: lots of features do not work and the smartphone operating system is more reliable.
4. the Nokia Symbian-based smartphone are pretty decent, but its availability on the U.S. mobile carriers is very limited. Verizon Wireless, the best network in the U.S., has not.
From my experience, Palm OS is one of the most reliable and functional smartphone operating. Centro is probably the last line of Palm phones. I recommend if you need a solid and reliable phone smart, but Verizon, Sprint does not work.
