Dual-SIM smartphone is hard to get. Gigabyte GSmart S1205 is a new addition to this series of special products, but its unique selling point is not a carte blanche to empty your wallet. A well-built phone, GSmart state as a workhorse – and probably in good shape. But this is not the point – at this price you do not look in the mouth. This is really one thing: a dual SIM PocketPC within budget. The host interface, the user SmartPack brewed on top of Windows Mobile 6.5 is the only bonus feature.

GSmart S1205 on the market a few months before the release of the new OS and Windows 7 Phone struggle among a group of Android phones. But it is a powerful weapon – Dual SIM dual standby support. We are convinced that there are many people who have to lug both their home and work phones and a solution would be welcome to a single device. Their choice is always limited, and Gigabyte are delighted to offer a solution.

Task Manager deeply buried in the Settings menu The lack of 3G support is perhaps the main drawback. However, for EDGE data connections and Wi-Fi coverage for heavy usage, which is sufficient for most. The three-megapixel fixed-focus is more as a burden instead of a key. But dual SIM smartphone consumers are unlikely to be concerned about the image anyway.
Gigabyte have their own custom interface – Smart User Interface Pack. It adds some novelty to compensate for the boring Windows Mobile home screen appears. The new user interface is not in the same league as the HTC custom feel strong, but still manages to impress. We are not talking about a high-end smartphone here, after all.
