Sony today introduced the 13.3 inch S series VAIO laptop line, similar to the C-series line, the announced on 22 February, but there are important differences with these smaller notebooks. Second generation Intel Core i7 processor option with the C-series models is not mentioned, but you are officially in this line with core i5 and Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 available are Sony. Selected models have a 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 6630 graphics card such as the select VAIO C-series models, and have some similar built-in functions.
This line of notebooks are not in the neon colors such as the C-series, but they are available in normal black and white. All include battery tested to up to 15 hours provide mobile battery power for an additional $150 from Sony a lithium polymer battery and an optional sheet high capacity. This optional battery can be separately charged and connected to the notebook, while it is turned on. Another option is the dual-channel RAID-0-solid-state drive with depending on the model.
Just like the C series, S series have built-in quick launch buttons: the VAIO, assist and web buttons. VAIO care, the media and the default browser and will launch.
These models are also backlit keyboard and an Exmor sensor with face tracking technology, integrated in the camera. Selected models include Blu-ray drives.
Sony Vaio S series-notebooks are now available from the Sony online store from $970 for pre-sale.
