The team from Sony has newly invented the notebook VAIO Y with some help from AMD. The new Sony VAIO Y (technically called “Vaio YB”) is Sony’s first laptop, have the new AMD E 350 processor and graphics. This 11-inch laptop is more expensive than a typical NetBook, but offers significantly better performance. You have a look at what we say about these powerful mini have.

Our Sony Vaio Y (YB) has the following specifications:

Build and design

The new VAIO Y is a radical departure from last year 13-inch Sony VAIO Y. I am a little unsure why Sony call not only this “VAIO YB” on the official website of the SonyStyle, but despite the confusion over the name of the model, which looks like a more attractive Sony notebook. On the overall size and shape, the VAIO YB has more in common with the VAIO W NetBook as last year’s VAIO Y. In fact, the new VAIO was developed Y to replace the Atom-based Netbooks in Sony’s lineup, and luckily the VAIO YB has more to offer than the low performance of Netbooks.

Production quality and is on a par with the most 11-inch laptops we have tested the HP Pavilion dm1z and the Acer Aspire 1830T. The plastics are thin yet solid; provides a combination of everyday durability and light weight. Although I would not recommend a game of frisbee with this laptop, the plastics used in the chassis are probably strong enough to Survivie a year or two constant travelling in a school backpack. The plastic screen cover offers bends under considerable pressure, but you need to create to waves on the screen really hard press. The cover comes in your choice of silver or pink at the time of this writing. The best description I can give for the painting is “metallic matte”, as shiny but not fingerprints as a typical glossy notebook demonstrate it.

The bottom of the notebook Panel provides a single access by means of three screws backed up. Behind, the panel you will find the RAM and hard drive if you want to make all upgrades. Granted, most consumers, are as follows buy laptop the a $550 content with the 4 GB standard memory, and the 500 GB hard drive probably. Still, it’s nice to know that Sony it was relatively simple, replace RAM and hard drive you want to do.

Ports and features

Port selection on the VAIO Y is standard for a 11-inch ultraportable notebook. You get three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, VGA, Gigabit-LAN, a microphone jack and a headphone jack. It has also a SDHC card slot and Memory Stick slot for the loading of images your camera during the trip. I am a little sad to see no USB 3.0 port on this notebook there (especially since it costs $550.) We pick up on USB 3.0 see more consumer notebooks and it is not just a good excuse for not again. Here, a quick tour around the new VAIO is Y (YB).
