Very nice but not perfect : Apple MacBook Air MC233LL/A 13.3-inch laptop
I’m a PC, but I’m also a Mac. MacBook Air (MBA) to be exact. I am in the design so it made sense. I initially considered something like the Dell Adamo, Z or Latitude HP ENVY13, but Dells were severely malnourished processor wise. The powerful HP was crazy, but more generous than I would have liked. The Latitude Euro Design, the MBA from a race for money, but it starts with more than two grand and you easily $ 2,500 per accident with the bells and whistles, yikes! HP Envy 13 is very powerful and the only ultraportable with Intel i7. But what I will use for mobility and the price is more important to me.

The Adamo compared prices and features of best match Macbook Air, but the finding that the design, function and price to almost a draw (I think personally the MBA had a small advance on the design) I installed the MBA due to the fact that I can not Windows 7 and Mac OS X (which I use for different purposes) and the highest quality construction. I must say, the unibody design makes the real thing feel like it was carved from a single piece of aluminum. It is inflexible per se. Closed, it just feels good in your hands.
The 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo is much better than the 1.2 and 1.4 available in the Dells, more than enough for my use. This may be a bit bland, I had not been an Intel Core 2 Quad desktop computer at home had. HP ENVY is logical.
The screen is more than adequate and much better than a netbook. Being so light, it can really anywhere you go in a netbook. The nice keyboard and a trackpad is also refreshing.
The Solid State Drive is nice, but after some use, I think they are not so different from a standard HD, maybe a little faster, but not so sensitive. It is certainly cooler and quieter. Some users have complained to a little hot, but I think they got a hard drive instead of SSD.
And now for some disadvantages :
No optical drive – because I will not need too often it’s not a big deal. I have a Blu-ray external drive I used to install everything. Once done, I can only image using the opportunity of a Blu-ray/DVD movie, but it is rarely, unless I’m in a hotel room somewhere and used my thoughts.
Connectivity
No Ethernet, big deal! It’s all about wireless!
Weird Mini DisplayPort – no big problem I have no image to connect an external monitor for these lots.
A single USB – This, I confess, is quite significant. It was an argument just swap a few USB devices, but again, I only use a few more devices (especially USB DJ Console mixer and a USB external HD with music I want to mix). I have a small USB Griffin “Splitter”, which was nothing more than a tiny USB hub, but he had a few barely enough power for HD from the USB port, so I had a cable USB power add to the preparation (the audio is heavily clipping during mixing and transfer). So keep in mind that if you plan to daisy chain three hard drives, a cooler of soda and a reading lamp on the USB port simply can not. This works very well with most other USB devices (low power).
RAM – This is the other great! While 2GB of RAM will probably be allowed for the moment, but I kept the option to add more. I have 8 GB on my desktop and I use now (photo and video editing, Media Center functions, terminal services, etc.)! Although I am not much of this (perhaps a little Photoshop) on this thing, just killer application that requires at least 4 GB of RAM, which I can use that makes me crazy!
I have a first generation MacBook Pro at work and I always loved the design of IT. This takes things to the next level. I’m primarily a Windows user, and it seems to work a bit more seamlessly with Windows as the MacBook Pro (though the latest drivers and software updates for Apple’s Boot Camp, the better). It’s a bit strange that I went with a Mac to run Windows, but it was a calculated choice. Had I been looking for a full laptop, it would probably be an HP or Dell.
