Very nice for the price : ASUS U50Vg AM1thin and light notebook 15.6 inch Black (Windows Home Premium 7)
I owned 4 laptops in the past 8 years, there has been a first IBM, HP last three were. This was an HP dv9000, and most were allowed. I restored it after Windows XP, so I have no idea how to win as 7 is Vista too, 7 seems a bit cartoony, but I’ll get used to.

My old HP had a 1.6 GHz AMD Turion dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 1 MB cache, 120 GB HD, and NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics card without dedicated memory. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but enjoy playing WoW, Sim City, Madden NFL, FIFA, first couple FPS, and my HP was killing me, everything was agitated and delayed. so far for the few hours that I am using the ASUS am impressed by the performance.
The keyboard is very nice, feel good, without too much noise. The touchpad works well and feels good. The laptop starts quickly and runs very quiet, even when I play WOW, I’m not hear the hum or hiss.
Do not know how long the battery lasts, but for me it’s not a big deal. The color is black with metallic blue, I thought it was just as shiny black, but the metal seems very strong as far as I’m concerned.
wish the screen has a higher resolution, but no problem. and fingerprints, not a big deal for me.
Overall for the price I am very happy with what I have. a great warranty, good performance, looks great and feels like good quality, has a ton of bloatware that my last HP, saving time removal of waste. My office has an ASUS motherboard (never a problem) and my son owns one of their laptops playing for about 8 months now (it pushes atleast 4-7 hours a day of games) are not always strong crash. customer service is excellent, and unless something important happens in the coming months, from my personal experience with ASUS, I think I’ll continue to buy their own laptops. So far, no complaints.
